So far the headphones have worked to my satisfaction. I'm on the computer a lot and also constantly wandering between 3 rooms for items or information that I need and the music I'm listening to never fades. I'm wondering why did they have to remanufactured in the first place? Did someone fall into the pool while wearing them? The componants looked new with no indication that they were remanufactured. It works well with my guitar workstation setup. I was a little worried when I saw that you had to "tune" the headphones to the channel selected on the base, but it seems to lock in just fine. The headphone part is large, but comfy as long as the weather is not too hot. The wires coming from the base unit are RCA male plugs. Adapters are supplied. The base station has no on/off, and if there is no signal for a while it will cut out. This is bad if you happen to have the volume cranked up! Overall, a great value.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

This Sennheiser RS-110 Wireless Headphone is great at a reasonable price. I use it mainly while watching a DVD movie as I exercise on my treadmill or on my Elliptical. Being free of long wires is a definite advantage. They are comfortable to wear although while exercising they do get a bit hot under the ear pads but thats not much of an issue. The sound is great .. the set is very very comfortable, easy to hook up ... the price is right.
The problem is after about 10-minutes the sound turns off and gets 'white ' sound which tears off the ears .. pulled off the headset, redic everything even though I had a tcch hook them up.
Same thing over and over .. after about 10 minutes, turns off the sound. Wait about 10 minutes and can get the TV sound again .. but it continues over and over.
Disappointed in the Quality Control ... the remanufacturing was not successful.
Will return them as they are still under warranty . .this happened the first day.

If I could, I would rate this item as *NO STARS*
First order, model RS110: Transmitter failed after 2 days.
Second order, model RS100: Transmitter was dead on arrival.
It appears that Sennheiser's "re-manufacturing" process does not include comprehensive testing and/or "burn in."
Transmitters for cordless headphones are supposed to operate continuously for *years!*
Packaging of first order was deficient--Item arrived in a stapled poly bag, without an instruction sheet.
Second order was well packaged, but apparently was not tested.
I would not recommend buying these (remanufactured) products because of poor (or non-existant) Quality Assurance.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

The sound is top notch, better than the headphones these replaced. they only use 2 AAA batteries instead of three like my other set.
THE PROBLEM: They don't fit like headphones. There is no "grip" to them. When I bend over to pick something up they fall off my head. I am disappointed, but not bothered by it. This is the first time I've ever been motivated to write a customer review for something.
If you're anything like me, you read the testimonials to help justify a decision you've already made; once I got my eye on these headphones, I was prone to ignore peoples' warnings about sound quality on all but the priciest wireless headphones.
What I've discovered upon tearing open the package this morning is that, after spending months accruing Monster Cables, a quality receiver, and all the right gadgets to yield a clean, crisp musical signal, I'm volleying it up like a clay pigeon every time I turn on the wireless set. 900 mhz is the bandwidth inhabited by cheaper cordless phones and a dizzying array of other electronic devices; if you live in Boston -- I kid you not -- turn off the transmitter and you'll get a clear feed of NPR's local Arts & Culture station... turn it back on and you'll hear your music again, but you'll be able to tell that the signal is exhausted by all the interference it's trying to crowd out.
So if you just want these to keep a beat drumming while you're working around the house, they'll do nicely -- although you will find yourself spinning the fine-tune dial as you move from room to room. But beware of overused epithets like "audiophile-quality": I'm an audiophile, to the degree that my genteel poverty permits, and these things are driving me up the wall. If you're the type who likes to fiddle with the knobs on your stereo in search of the 'right' sound, you really will be disappointed: for my $50, I've bought the acoustic equivalent of the headphones they pass out for long flights on American Airlines -- albeit with the convenience of limited mobility. These are some pretty decent RF headphones. Very little hiss in the background, great range - the only thing I don't like is the auto on/off feature. For those who don't know what this is, the transmitter on the base doesn't start transmitting unless it "hears" enough sound for it to go. When the sound source is turned off and it doesn't "hear" anything anymore, it stops transmitting after a few minutes and you hear static in the headphones. It's basically a good idea, but not practical if/when working with different types of audio sources.
This feature can be difficult if (in my case) you are working with the headphones on a computer, where sounds come and go at different intervals (IM noises, prompts, pausing a DVD, etc.). I also use the headphones with a 15" television (no cable) that has headphone port for private viewing. While watching the TV with the headphones (the included L/R-1/16 adapter is very nice) the headphone transition cuts out every 5 minutes for a few seconds then starts again. This is probably because of the low audio strength coming from the cable-less TV, but it's just another reason why there should be a manual ON/OFF TRANSMIT switch on the base unit.
The only other drawback is that, unlike many other headphone types, Sennheiser has chosen to make very flat ear pieces. Most other headphones have the "can" type, which have a thick outer rim, allowing your ears to be closer to their natural position. With these Sennheisers my ears are frequently squished against my head, sometimes for many hours - which anyone will tell you has its own definition of pain. I'll point out that the pain only happens when I wear glasses and have the headphones on for a long time. If I have contacts in (which is mostly the case) or place the legs of the glasses above my ears, it rarely hurts to have the headphones on for the same time.
All in all, pretty good wireless headphones for consistent audio listeners, and people without glasses. Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

I've owned a couple of different types of wireless headphones and listened to a couple of other brands owned by other people. Every other one I have ever tried has had some static noise, especially when you move around the room with them. I had returned a pair of the infrared headphones after being completely disgusted with the high-pitched noise generated by the computer, etc... I had pretty much given up on wireless, that is until now. These are utterly quiet and the sound quality is outstanding. I am completely satisfied with them. I recommend them without any hesitation or reservations. I won't even look at another brand now.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

I got a set of these about 3 months ago. I noted some complained as to the condition due to the Headphones being "Remanufactured". I for one could not tell them from new. I bought them based on the Sennheiser reputation and like them a lot, however, I did not compare them to other headphone. I just did not understand they had to be "tuned" in a'la radio and as I did not read the directions (guy)it took me five or ten minutes to figure out. They are comfortable, I can really hear with them anywhere on the main floor of the house although I had no real need to test the limits. I really got them in case I choose to watch movies after my wife has gone to bed. The "Home Theater" while not directly under our bedroom is close enough to be bothered should the sound (sub-woofer) be cranked a bit. I have not used it a ton of times but enough to find the sound very good and the headphones comfortable to wear for an entire movie. They are big but light and I find them comfortable. The other big bonus comes in when my nephew spends the night, as he will watch movies ALL night on the big screen and both my wife and I can sleep.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

I don't usually write reviews, but these Sennheiser headphones were so good for the price that I had to voice my opinion. The clarity, quietness, and range on these phones is really quite amazing. And the sound quality seems good enough even for casual hi-fi listening. They also include an adapter for an iPod, MP3 player, etc. I especially liked that the phones ran on two "AAA" batteries, instead of a proprietary internal rechargeable battery. Of course, you'll want to buy a pair of NiMH rechargeable AAAs, but the standardized size is a big plus. The only negatives I can think of is the little "tune" dial, which is located way too close to the "volume" dial: it's easy to mix up the two, and anyway, the tuning should be automatic. And they're perhaps not the ultimate in comfort. But for $49 and this much quality, they're unbeatable.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

Having known Sennheiser's reputation for quality, I look for their products any time I am considering headphones. This model is pretty impressive, especially for the price. The sound quality is great, and the reception range is good. The only complaints I can think of are reception can be tricky to dial in once in a while, and battery life isn't fantastic. When compared to others, though in the price class, this is an outstanding product. The performance is only exceeded by other models much more expensive. In the future, though, I would like to see a model from Sennheiser that recharges via the stand for a few dollars more.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

The headset showed up in excellent condition despite being refurbished. It took me a bit to figure out how where to install the batteries and how to hook up the station since they failed to send out a manual or batteries with the package. But once they were set up correctly (after some trial and error) they worked great. They have terrific range, I am able to walk 25 feet or so away from the station on a different level of our home without any sound degredation. The only reason I am giving them a four and not a five is because they failed to include the manual. I can live without batteries but not without the manual, and the manual on the current Sennheiser website does not include any instructions for the RS110. Wow! I bought these for my husband, as I'm sure he's tired of my asking that he turn the TV down so I can sleep at night. Little did I know that I would wish they were for me! The remanufactured Sennheiser RS-110 arrived on time and without a scratch. After fumbling a bit and getting disappointed because I couldn't get it set up correctly at first because there is NO manual included (and the .pdf manual is of no help), I finally got it to work and the sound was simply magnificent. I've been using Sennheiser wired headphones for years and love them. So I was looking forward to these wireless headphones. On sound quality, I'm very happy. The lows, highs and overall quality is superb and equal to wired headphones.
Unfortunately, there are few things I'm not happy about that I haven't seen in other reviews. The headphones are larger than open air Sennheisers and seem to hold the heat against my head, making them hot on my head after they've been on for more than 5 minutes. I'm hoping I'll get used to them with time, although it's been 2 days and they still feel hot.
The other thing is the image for higher-priced Sennheiser wireless headphones shows the headphones sitting on a holder above the transmitter. The image for these headphones shows the same sort of image, but there is no holder for the headphones. So the image for this headphone is misleading - the headphones can't be hung up on a wire holder above the transmitter. I'm not sure why Sennheiser chose to omit the holder in this model, as the headphone holder couldn't cost more than 5 cents. But they did.
If you are okay with both of these issues, then the headphones are great and recommended.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

I was so excited to get these, and they did work pretty well when all the conditions were right - pretty close to the base without too many obstructions. But first of all, you cannot use them if someone else in the house is watching TV without cable, because it picks up the antenna signal even if it is not plugged into the TV! Secondly, they simply stop working for no reason. You'll be listening along, and all of a sudden you'll just get noise, and the base "on" light will go off. It's plugged in, the outlet is working fine, but the base just stops transmitting. This may be just a badly refurbished product, but I'm sending it back, and its replacement won't be a Sennheiser. I cannot carry a "tune in a bucket" as the old saying goes, but I do recognize what sounds good to me. The RS-110 meets all of my 'wants' - it is lightweight, the sound is very good with no static or hiss, and the reception distance allows me to listen to my favorite satellite TV music channel throughout my house. I wear glasses and there is no discomfort as all when I wear the RS-110 for hours. The battery life is outstanding as well. My old earphones used built-in rechargable Ni-Cads so I had to make sure it was plugged into the charger when I was not using it which did not happen sometimes. I like the replacable AAA battery system used in this unit. I have a AAA battery charger, so the cost of batteries is so minor over a period of years that it is insignificant. Contrary to what a lot of people have reported, I didn't really find the interference to be a big problem. The sound is good, probably not near any professional headphones but probably at least consumer headphones around $30 (wired). I thought it wouldn't be good, as it is analog and only 900 mhz, but I was surprised. It falls off around 30 feet from the transmitter. Occasionally there is a very faint high pitched noise, but it really doesn't bother me.
The headphones will feel warm for a bit but eventually I either got used to it or my head was no longer heating itself so much. In either case I don't notice it anymore.
I was also surprised that the batteries lasted for a while - at about 20 hours of use they were only drained to 1.35 volts (the included batteries). The thing I don't really like about the headphones is that the tuning is not automatic, and the dial on the headphones seems a bit cheap compared to auto-tuning radios which came out however many decades ago. Also, they should change channels automatically instead of having to switch the base station and then retune the headphones. Accidentally hitting the dial wasn't as big of a problem as I thought. However this is old technology, and automatic tuning is implemented in $15 wireless optical mice, so I expected more. In any case it isn't a large problem and the good sound is certainly most important.
UPDATE - after moving to Berkeley, CA, the interference is more noticeable. The house where I live has some old building materials, which apparently act as Faraday cages. Also, as I now own a laptop, the portability is a disadvantage. For most people, I would probably recommend the Sennheiser px100. I've heard the Grado SR-60 is good as well. However, the product still has it's niche and is worth consideration.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

The base unit for the wireless headphones will shut off in 3 to 5 minutes, unless the base source volume is turned up so loud, that even with the headphone volume turned down, is near the threshold of pain.
Maybe other units work well, but mine does not work. If you look on their website, this question has been posted (why does my base shut off), and Sennheiser's answer is the volume is too low; therefore, I can only believe this problem is common.
Mine even shut off, when I can hear music through the headsets across the room. The volume switch on the headset itself needs to be modified to allow for about 10% of the current sound.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

These are my first wireless headphones and so far i'm pleased with my purchase.
Sound: The sound reproduction is pretty good. Bass has some umph. There is a ever so slight hiss when music gets quiet or when listening to pod casts/voice. There hiss is also present when tracks change. It also seems to pick up some intereference at times even at different channels. I guess that's life with wireless.
Comfort: So far I've worn them for about 4 hours straight and no ill affects so far.
Range: my studio isn't huge, but i've been 20ft away from the base behind a wall with no signal degredation.
Conclusion: I'm satisfied with my purchase, i'm giving 3 stars cause of the hissing and interference.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

I'm a long time headphone user, including other Sennheisers, and the RS-110 is the best I've owned: Very easy to setup, completely reliable signal, excellent sound quality, comfortable---and cheap.
Unlike some reviewers, I've found the auto shutoff to work perfectly, only turning off after a reasonable time.
These weigh the same as the RS-120, and batteries are so cheap, that I opted for these rather than the RS-120 so they can be stored out of sight. Battery life seems excellent.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

As I am not "allowed" to listen to the news when my wife is here I bought these earphones. They work and sound wonderful but I bought too fast. I recently purchased the RS-110 from Cosco because I could no longer wait to purchase a pair and they were reasonably priced. My reviews are mixed. I was happy with the radio signal when listening to Maple Leaf games, but primarily purchased them to listen to CDs on a mini system. I found I have to continually play with them to get a quality signal. At a low volume level they are okay, but at that level the music is heard over a low static. When I turn the volume up to eliminate the static, I get distortion. Feedback is also a problem. I don't have this problem with my HD-495 which are great (but are not wireless). These headphones were purchased for late night internet surfing to avoid disturbing others. As an upgrade from tiny earbud wired headphones, I'm definitely appreciating the wireless. Easy enough to move around, which is the whole reason I opted for wireless. I can get reception through walls and at the other end of the house if needed.
Comfort: This is of course a matter of opinion. I find them to be a little tight. Having tried out the RS140 version, I was a little surprised to find these aren't over the ear noise-cancelling headphone. They're warm (a little too warm?) foam muffs that rest over your ear and are audible to those around you.
Battery: My new headphones seemed to be malfunctioning until I tried replacing the batteries. They had been gradually getting quieter over about a minute until silencing completely. I guess that's how you can tell the battery is low. I appreciate the convenience of storing these headphones anywhere without worrying about keeping the battery charged. But batteries do add up.
Interference: It's what you would expect a wireless headphone to sound like. Even after adjusting the channel and tuner, it's hard to get a clear signal without a little buzz. Whenever you turn your head, there's a little change (sometimes subtle, sometimes not). The volume/tuner dials are easy to bump and accidentally change. So I tend to spend a lot of time adjusting and readjusting to eliminate the interference.
My biggest complaint: When you pause a show (to write this review for example), after about a minute of silence the headphones jolt you with a loud "snowy tv" sound. I haven't had a chance to get used to it, but I'm starting to become paranoid. Everytime there's silence I feel the urge to pull the headphones off... even if I'm not wearing them. A way to combat this would be to turn source sound up and headphone volume down. But you also have to remember to undo that the next day. The RS140 didn't seem to have this problem.
All in all, I would recommend this product to someone else (granted they're on a budget). For the $30 price online, I can overcome the problems. It serves the purpose of watching shows on my computer at night, with the freedom of wireless. The noise quality is alright. I'm sure that with more tweaking I could eliminate a little hiss (by making sure other items aren't on the same frequency). But for now this is good enough. I tried out the RS140 briefly, but couldn't justify the price increase. For a casual user such as myself, I found this to be more or less the same as it's higher-end siblings.

I love there headphones, I listen to music and radio streamed from my computer which used to be a total pain, because I would get caught up in the headphone wires, or roll over them with my chair. Now I can walk all over the house or at work with the headphones on. The quality is pretty good, I have low tolerance for static. The one very important thing with these that is that the second the battery gets low, the sound gets all crunchy. At first I thought the headphones were just bad, because I did not put in a fresh battery. I would say the batteries last about 25 or 30 hrs before they go bad.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

The sound is very good for general use. I use them to drown out office noise with online music and they're perfect. The range is about 75 feet and the two AAA batteries last for 10-20 hours of use. They keep my head from being tethered to my computer which led to a few accidental, but hilarous, near-whiplash moments as I tried to leave my desk quickly.
The only downfall is looking a little silly with the slightly oversized headphones on your head as you walk around the office. Yeah, if I really concentrate I can hear the faintest of noise in the background but, come on, I'm playing music off of a computer in a loud, busy office.

Buying Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones

A sound engineer's perspective...
Great Sennheiser quality - strikingly similar to some of their wired models (HD202, ect). What I expected. People say don't even bother with other brands. For the great prices Sennheiser offers, I know I don't.
Works in a large house or large condo. Static (as with all wireless headphones) occurs under 4 feet. Some people don't understand that this is natural. I've been probably 50' to 100' away from the base and have had no dropouts. Static occurs over 20' but is sparse and only in certain 'spots' - usally about two square feet. The solution - avoid those 'spots' or mess with the tuning knob.
PROS:
Fairly flat frequency response - VERY nice mids and highs
Close in quality to many mid-range wired models
Almost flawless reception when in the same room
Comfortable, open-aire design - not too tight, not too loose
CONS:
Big (but so are all wireless phones)
Silver accent color (makes them look even bigger)
No rechargeable batteries
May slip off of smaller heads when bending over (mine is big though)
Lacks a bit of bass because of the open-aire design (makes it perfect for TV but leaves a tad to be desired for music)
IMPORTANT:
Your TV has RCA OUTputs
Your volume has to be UP on the TV a little for these to work - how to circumvent this? Run your cable through a VCR and take the base station out of the RCA outputs of your VCR - now you can mute the TV, but your phones will still work through your VCR volume.
The verdict? Hard to beat for the price. Wireless headphones are not perfect, but these are about as good as you can get. Want rechargeables? Upgrade to the Sennheiser RS-120s - the same electronics, but you pay $30 more for rechargeables. Want a closed-aire design? Upgrade to the RS 140s. Want something that is open-aire and rechargeable but a bit more 'stylish' - ie. all black and less 'grandpa grey' - get the HS 130s.
I understand that the 130s and 140s have 'automatic' tuning. I would think however this could be a blessing and also a curse. Also, for those who have hearing loss in one ear - the 140s have adjustable left/right balance.
Old people hate these at first because it's essentially admitting that they have hearing loss, but give them 2 days and they LOVE them.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.

To be honest, I know nothing about headphones and only purchased this set by comparing reviews and prices. I am extremely happy with my choice. Very easy to set up, great price especially compared to buying in-store, they fit very comfortably and the sound is perfect, tiny bit of white noise in the background but I'm only conscious of that due to reading reviews of other brands, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even noticed it. I've been all around our house and in the basement and the sound is still great. Have not been outside to test them yet. So far I've only tried them with the TV. Only down side is now I stay up later watching the TV without waking my husband.Get more detail about Sennheiser Rs110 926 Mhz Wireless Rf Headphones.
