After much frustration with they Sony MDR-RF960RK, I find these cheaper (over $20) no frills Sennheisers to be just what I needed. They worked fantastic right out of the box.

As I am not "allowed" to listen to the news when my wife is here I bought these earphones. They work and sound wonderful but I bought too fast. I assumed all earphones you plugged in and charged when not using them. This model takes regular batteries. So every 20 days I need new AAA batteries. So in a years time I have to add 18 sets of batteries. I would never buy this type again.
