When my transmitter is plugged in I get a lot of interference on my cordless phone. As long as I unplug it when I'm not using it than I can answer my phone without any interference.

Over the last couple years it seems like I'm always turning the volume on the TV up louder than everyone else in the house likes it. And if people are talking in the room, I have a hard time hearing the TV. It can't be that I'm getting older. It must be because the people on TV don't speak clearly anymore. So to make them speak more clearly, I purchased these headphones from Amazon and I love them! They were simple to set up. All I had to do was to put the two included batteries in the headphones, plug the power cord into the receiver, and plug the red and black audio cords into the Audio Out on the back of my TV. There's an on and off switch on the headphones and a volume and tuner control.

The headphones are very comfortable. They're big, but that's good in a way because it keeps people from talking to you when you're trying to watch TV or listen to music. The range is fantastic. I walked around the house and never lost the connection. I walked outside, down a steep driveway to the mailbox and still was able to listen to the TV the whole time. And there were 2 walls and a brick front to the house so I'd say the range is pretty good. I bet I could wander over to the neighbor's house and still be listening to American Idol. It sure is great when you have to get up to use the rest room during a movie or go to the frig to get something to eat. You don't miss a beat.

The other nice thing is that you can turn the volume way down on the TV and turn it up on the headphones so you don't disturb other people in the house who are sleeping. (You can't turn the volume completely off on the TV) If family members are watching with you, you can adjust the headphone volume up or down depending on how loud they have the TV. Sennheiser also carries a few other models of similar type headphones like these Sennheiser RS140 Wireless Headphones and Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones but for my purposes of watching TV mainly, I think these do everything I need them to do. Last night I listened to music on one of the TV satellite stations and was very impressed with the sound on these headphones. Earlier, during a TV show where there was lots of activity, it sounded like I was listening to surround sound with the sound going from right to left and other sounds behind me in the background. I thought that was pretty impressive for entry level headphones.

I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who has had trouble hearing the TV, stereo or other device.
