Sennheiser 810 Personal Infrared TV Listening System

The Sennheiser 810 listening system works well but was troublesome to set up. Connecting it to the output jack on my TV would provide sound to the headset but not from the speakers so others in the room would hear nothing. Using the included microphone resulted in a pickup of many extraneous noises until the Sennheiser tech advised that the mike must be placed right on the throat of the speaker.
